So You Think You Can Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite show in the whole world is coming back on tomorrow and I could NOT be more excited!!!! If I could only watch one show for the rest of my life this would be it!!!!! In honor of Twitch (who should have won)...this is for you...

4 REAL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Action Packed Weekend Round 2...

So I am late doing my post from last weekend but there were so many pictures from such a short amount of time, but I will try and condense it as best as possible.
Last Friday night we had our Lupus Foundation Garden Party which was fun...here are a few pics from the event:

Me and my handsome hubby

Kyle and Will Greathouse with their silent auction winnings - Kyle with his AL football signed by Nick Saban and Will with his basketball signed by the UT basketball coach whom I have no idea what his name is...sorry UT fans.

Being silly with Lindsey and Miller

Then on to a real picture

Me and Kyle again

So that was Friday night and Saturday we woke up bright and early and drove to the lake to go to a wedding shower for Jonathan and Lindsay but the extra plus for us was getting to see Grammie and Pop, even if it was a brief trip. But we had a great time!
The ritual for the doggies is we let them out with about a 1/4 mile to go and they take out fast as lightning straight to the house and Divot always goes straight into the water. They just love it!!!

Daddy and Bops on the dock at the shower

Hunty found an oar so he was playing in the water with it...I wish I were so easily entertained!

Hunty being silly as usual at the wedding shower

This is a huge highlight for the boys at the lake...digging in the sand. With the dogs of course! Grammie and Pop have all kinds of fun things to do for their grandbabies!

Hunty playing in the hose (his FAVORITE thing to do in the whole world!!!!) For some reason he loves to put it right in his face, even when it is freezing cold, but to each his own! We had bout 50 pictures from this little water event, so I tried to pick just a few:

Hunter, as you know, loves his umbrella and he and Pop concocted a fun game of spraying the hose inside the umbrella while holding it over his head...boys...

Hunty getting Drakey who really did not want to get too wet

Then because it was raining the boys are always getting into trouble. This time finding the CDs and pulling every single one out of the case. It was so much fun to clean up!

Then afterwards, Bops fell asleep wrapped up warm on Pop's lap. Definitely my favorite picture of our quick little trip.

We are heading back to the lake this morning, this time to stay for a while! Kyle has to head back on Monday to go back to work but I get to stay until Thursday and am so excited!!!! Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

Summer Lovin'

These are things I am loving right now A TON...
#1 Drake's thighs...I mean, they are HALF (and I am not exaggerating) the size they were a half a year ago, but they are still so juicy and squishy that I could eat on one for a whole month. Here are just a few (of MANY) shots of those thighs!

#2 Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream in a glass with a little milk poured on top and then I mix it up so it is like a frosty...I eat some every night (speaking of thighs). And no, I am NOT pregnant! Not even funny...

#3 The way the boys have started to play together somewhat nicely again (we had a few rough months here). No, it is not perfect and doesn't usually last longer than 15 or 20 minutes, but after 2 1/2 yrs of constant baby and someone needing something from you every second, 15 or 20 minutes of getting to sit outside and watch my boys contently play without having to referee is like having an afternoon on a relaxing beach. That amount of time is refreshing!

#4 Watermelon...both my boys LOOOVE it and so do I. We eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner and cannot get enough of it! I love that summer is around the corner and that watermelons are going to get better and better over the next couple of months.

#5 My high school friends! I mean, I love y'all all the time of course, but we go to dinner once a month to make sure we keep in touch with what we are doing since we all live insanely different but fun lives! We never think about taking a picture when we go to dinner but this last time I brought my camera and thought it was overdue! We celebrated "Doce de Mayo" instead of "Cinco de Mayo"

#6 The fact that I went to the Coco Bonbons sale and bought some fall coats and rain coats for next year and an umbrella for each boy but Hunter is way more into than Drake...he loves to have it all the time now...even when it is not raining!

#7 And most of all THE FACT THAT IT IS NO LONGER RAINING!!!!! HOOORAAAYYYYY!!!!

Baby Bella Update

Sorry I have not posted an update yet, but between the 2 boys, a husband who I think we have seen a total of 8 hours awake in the past 10 days, and having to watch Bella every second to make sure she does not rip her stitched I have been quite busy.

This is what D did all day while Bella was gone...he was so sad she was not there. He knew something was wrong!
But our sweet little girl was so silly when she came home last Monday...she had the cone on and you could tell was still kind of out of it from the surgery. She kept running the cone into EVERYTHING which was of course sad but also kind of funny and it was completely cracked within 10 minutes of being home! She would growl at Divot when he would come any where near her and followed me around the house like a lost puppy which was so sweet but sad. It was truly like how a baby is with its mommy when he is not feeling well! But the doctor said we could take the cone off as long as we were watching her and she was not messing with her eye. So since it was cracked we took it off so she would be more comfortable and she didn't even try to fool with her eye or anything! But the boys were so cute trying to love on her when she came home...
Everyone greeting Bella

Drake loving on "Poor Bebba" as he would say

Hunty loving on Bella too!

But I was so proud of her because she has not once tried to paw at her eye, rub it or anything and was back to her normal self by the end of Tuesday. We still of course have to watch her and not let her get too rough until she gets her stitched out on Thursday of this next week, but she is doing great!

The sweet little girl. Her left eye was the one with stitches

Baby Bella

Close up of the eye...not too bad!!!

Drake loving on Bella any chance he can get!

Win-Win or No Win?

I have struggled with this all day today...I felt like this morning as we were trying to figure out what to do for Mothers Day that I was not sure if I felt like I was in a win-win situation or a no-win and this is why:
Going to brunch or lunch is so much fun but lets be honest, I cannot remember the last time I had a pleasant quiet meal at a restaurant with my wild tornadoes there. If I sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time it is a miracle and after that FORGET having the boys stay in their seats. If we are with my parents we all kind of eat in shifts as to who will be chasing who. So to be honest, going out to eat is not really special or fun right now, much less relaxing.

And then my sweet sweet husband wanted to cook brunch which was so nice, but lets be honest again...if he is cooking, then who is watching the boys??? ME!!! I would MUCH RATHER be cooking in the kitchen then chasing them when I do that anyways every other day of the week! So that option is not really a great one either. So its like a no win situation! Going out is not fun, staying in and having Kyle cook is not fun, and staying home while he watches the boys while I cook is just every other day (not true, that would kind of be a treat since I usually have to cook and watch the boys at the same time)! But you get my point here...

But then on the flip side I would not even be celebrating this day if I did not have children and I am so lucky to have 2 beautiful boys, an amazing husband and my parents in town to celebrate with. I definitely do not want to sound ungrateful! Anyways, all in all it was a nice day and we did end up going out for a quick breakfast before church.

I do realize that we all look desperately tired and I still am since the boys decided not to nap today, but oh well! I think I will sleep in about 18 more years!

Silly Snack #2-Creepy Crawlers

So we did this snack almost 2 weeks ago but clearly I am not on the ball about posting these:( We had extra fun doing it because we had one of our best friends Drew over that afternoon when we made it!! The boys were so cute!

This is all you need...

This is the recipe

recipe with picture of what they are suppose to look like

I ended up using strawberries instead of cherries just because my boys LOVE strawberries but are not huge fans of cherries (That is not to say we have not tried. Kyle and I are obsessed with Cherry Lime-Aides from Sonic and we always try and get them to eat the cherry, but they never want it!)

The 3 blondies eating their "Creepy Crawlers" which is what we called them!

The boys just being silly!

This might just be my favorite picture...I just love Drew!!!

If LC from The Hills had a little boy...

If LC had a little boy he would look like this:

Drake always likes to wear his sunglasses low, just like his favorite Hills Star!
He definitely does not get that from him mommy because I cannot stand them pinching my nose...
What do you think??

Silly Snack #1-Crazy Caterpillars

I finally got out this little cute cookbook I got in OCTOBER (wow I am way to far behind!) And the ones that my boys love the best I have decided to start posting about so that I can share them with my friends who have children/are pregnant/babysit children/think they might have children in the future, etc.
I will start a link on the right so that you can go to any of the snacks as I post them for the recipe.
I have learned that turning certain foods into animals or other crazy creatures makes them so much more appetizing...who knew! HA!

This is all you need

This is the recipe

This is the Crazy Caterpillar snack(that is what we called them)...I ended up substituting the raisins with chocolate chips to entice my children even more:)...Oh and did NOT use the coconut!

Getting ready to dig in!

Drakey telling me he is All Done!
