We had a great Easter weekend full of more egg hunts than we needed, a random puffy swollen red eye (not pink eye, but mystery eye that the dr. thought something got in Hunty's eye and infected it but now he is fine) and discussions of why Jesus died and came back to life which was confusing for my little boys. They know Jesus and will tell you they have Jesus in their heart, but the resurrection part is hard to grasp.
Maundy Thursday and Good Friday were especially difficult for them to understand. But I figure each year it will get a little easier for them.

Easter morning we woke up in time to see if the Easter bunny came before church |
|
Hunting for eggs the bunny hid |
|
See Hunty's eye? It was swollen almost shut!
|
|
And they found their baskets! |
|
The bunny brought him Batman Crocs that he has been wanting, but bless his heart he could only see them with one eye. |

Walking into church with a flower for the flower cross |

Seeing Mimi and Da...we had given Hunty Benadryl for his eye by this point so he was a little out of it |
|
Going to Mimi and Das after church for Easter lunch...and getting some "peas and carrots"
|
Making an attempt to take a good picture of the boys...not sure why we even try. But I suppose a good laugh is just as good
A quick visit to see Nonnie

Another hunt at Mimi and Da's house |

And then a little backyard brotherly love rivalry...

ReplyDeleteWell, your boys look just as grown up as Nicholas turning 5. Crazy on all fronts. Looks like you had a wonderful Easter. I hope to get my post up soon. And yes, Burt did score a 201 bowling. He wished it was more :-)
ReplyDeleteSUCH a fun Easter! Sad about poor Hunty's eye, but glad he is better! Those pictures of them together are too cute and funny and something they will treasure forever and love looking back on. What a special bond they have!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!! Hunter-man and Drake are looking like big boys now! I love the picture of Hunter with his Easter crocs all teased with his tongue :)
