Oh goodness I am not ready for this

A week ago Saturday was a big day for Hunter.
#1 He got his pre-school class roster. Yes, I said it, PRE-SCHOOL!!!!!! How can this be?!???!!! He only turns 3 in September!!! But having a September birthday makes him the youngest in his class. The cut-off is Sept. 30th and we barely scraped by. He is in the same "school" that he was in for Mothers Day Out and I was so beyond happy with that program and their curriculum and how much he learned but the classes there are broken up into 4 month age groups. So everyone in his class turned the same age between June-September. Now it is like real school. The age goes over a whole year. So he could be in class with someone who turns 4 October 1st. He is so smart so it will be great for him to be challenged and I have no worries of him keeping up at all. So that is not what hit me. What hit me was the fact that as I was reading information from his packet I was looking at the school calendar and it listed the date for their Christmas program. That is when it hit me and tears welled up in my eyes. It was the my-baby-is-old-enough-to-be-in-a-Christmas-program freak out. I am going to be that mom during the program that is uncontrollable I think. I am already embarrassed!
#2 He officially is signed up to play in a soccer league. The cut-off there was August 29th you had to be 3, but they let a few kiddos who turned 3 a week or so later in, and he is playing with many of his little "buddies" so it should be absolutely adorable. I cannot wait to see him in his little jersey, shin guards, socks and mini-cleats. It might be the cutest sight I have ever seen. He is really really fast and kick he ball around the yard like a pro but I just feel like I am going to be a box of tears this next year with my baby doing so many big-boy tings. So just bare with me!

Loving the Lake!!!

I feel so bad because the boys and I always have the BEST time when we go to the lake to stay with Grammie and Pop (Kyle's parents). I always want to document our fun adventures there but the past 2 times we have been we have had issues with our pictures!! We went around Memorial Day and were able to stay for almost a week! When we got back Kyle uploaded the picturs to his work computer to clear the camera and then I kept forgetting to tell him to put them on a CD to bring home and poor Kyle is so busy at work he kept forgetting to do it! Grammie and Pop were also soooo sweet to watch the boys while Kyle and I got to spend our little vacation in Vegas and then we were able to spend the rest of the week at the lake and for the 4th of July! Before we left we made sure to get all the pictures onto one CD and now we are having issues uploading the pictures for some reason! I am so sad!! They always have so many fun things for the boys to do and every time is like a big adventure that Hunter and Drake talk about for months afterwards. I am so lucky to have the best in-laws in the world who are so loving and dear to all of us. We only wished we lived closer so we could see them more, but we are lucky they are not too far away! I got a few pictures from my camera but as soon as we figure out what is going on with our CD we will put those up too.

Hunty being silly after doing his puzzles...he is a puzzle monster! He loves them! it is quite impressive actually!

Drakey in the ever-popular Spider Man life jacket/suit. I think he pulls it off well...

The boys "helping" build the picnic bench

3 generations of Armstrong men who successfully built their new picnic table!

We went into Montgomery to go have lunch with Laura and her adorable baby boy Dillon. We were so happy to see them!!!
Hunty is LOVING his time with Little Dilly

Sweet sweet Laura letting Hunty feed her sweet baby boy...

Hunty feeding Dillon and actually doing a pretty good job!

I think Hunty thought they were real? Not sure...

Drakey excited to see Dillon too!

Loving the sand pile! A usual favorite of the lake!

Drakey loves his Grammie!

Drake about to dig into his "Hot Diggity-Dig!"

Not real sure is this is appropriate but such a classic.

Another classic and so typical

Drakey decides to get into the tub of water with all the toys

Then Hunty joins in...

And last but not least...clothes off and into the tub for a lot of "swimming" I have so many adorable pictures of this, but i think there is way too much nakedness to be appropriate for the blog!!! SORRY!!!!!

And for the most exciting news...Kyle's little sister just had her baby on Monday afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited to have another beautiful niece! We are going to see them tomorrow and I can hardly stand it!!! You can see her gorgeous baby girl on their blog at www.thehowellslife.blogspot.com, or just go to the link on the side of my blog. She is just precious!

Now, if we can only figure out how we can get our pictures from our visit over June/July we might be caught up...stay tuned!!!

What Happens in Vegas...I'm Gonna Blog About!!!!!

Well last Sunday, June 28th, Kyle and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We decided what better place than Vegas! I have never been there before and boy did I have a trip in store! I am so unbelievably blessed to be married to such an amazing man who loves his family with all his heart, works as hard as he can for us, gives for his family everything we could possibly need and makes each day so worth living. He is such an incredible father: so patient, so much fun, so kind, and so loving. I fall more in love with him each day and he is my best friend in the whole world. He makes every trip I take with him so fun and cannot imagine being there without him! We have so many pics, but don't worry, I will just pick a few! I was a little overwhelmed with Vegas since EVEYTHING is just so big and over the top! It was unreal! This was our first night there at dinner at Smith and Wollenskys We had so many people tell us to eat there and have always heard great things about it, but I have to say we did not have the best experience. They did bring out a fun srprise anniversary dessert with champagne at the end though which made it a little better. We decided to make the numbers that the white chocolate stick was pointing to our lucky numbers (red 25 and red 32) in the casino, but I can safely say, we DID NOT HAVE LUCK GAMBLING!!! Fortunatley we know our limits and can stop when we need to, but Vegas in general did not like our luck. That is okay though, money can't buy you love right?! The next day we had a huge breakfast. And then did a whole lot of laying out by the pool. Nothing like laying out full right? HA! We headed to the Bellagio Hotel that night. Before dinner my hot hubby won some moo-lah. Well, let me re-phrase that. He won some money back... Afterwards we ate at Olive's, a Todd English restaurant, and we were able to make a reservation on the balcony which overlooked the infamous Bellagio Fountains. They went off every 15 minutes to a new song and was so neat to be able to eat outside overlooking them. A few more pics in front of the fountains. These pics do not do them justice as to how high the water goes and I tried to uplaod one of our videos, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work. Oh well!

We did a little just walking around afterwards... All the hotels are insane but this was New York New York (if you have not been to Vegas yet, everything you see in the picture is the one hotel) and look closely and you will see the roller coaster that went around it. We kept saying we were going to go ride it, but always got too lazy laying by the pool to actually go to it. This is part of MGM Grande Hotel A pic in front of part of Paris And then back in the front lobby of our hotel, Caesars Palace. It consists if 7 buildings, each atleast the size of Green Hills Mall if not bigger. And it actually has a ridiculous mall inside it with every girl's dream stores. It was ridiculously large and over the top! They all are though! More eating lots of food and laying by the pool... And then we went to the Wynn hotel to browse and do a little more gambling. We thought the Wynn was the best hotel we saw, but we had HORRID luck there gambling so I have mixed emotions about it right now. And then we went to the opposite side of the strip and ate at Mix in Mandalay Bay. It was the best restaurant we went to we thought but forgot to take a picture inside. It was so neat though! Google it if you have a chance! This was the only picture we got...of K's dinner! Afterwards we went into Paris to look around And then went back to Caesars where we ended the night at Pure, the club there.
