Pacie Update

Well my friends, it has been a week and it is going HORRIBLY!!! Each day actually seems to get worse and worse. The very first night it was going shockingly well (not sure if they really realized it was permanent maybe?) and each night since then seems to get a little worse. Neither child naps anymore (which I might lose it this week to not have any alone time anymore...) and they are not sleeping well at night either. I am beginning to think this was DEFINITELY not worth it. But it has been a week, do I cave now? Or do I just let myself go completely insane? I am starting to think that when they join a college fraternity that maybe they could be convinced to give it up then? If not then I will leave that challenge up their future wives.
Regardless, though it is a silly thing, please keep us in your prayers!

  1. Oh, Caroline. I seriously cannot imagine. I am dreading that day and you had better believe that I will be praying for you.

    My e-mail is Lauren@robandlauren.net

Let me know if there is anything specific I can pray for. Maybe a surprise weekend get away from Kyle?

  2. Oh my goodness you poor thing! I know semi-what you are going through. We battled the bottle here, but then again I was only dealing with one child! I will DEFINETLY pray for some progress, and a GREAT week for ya'll!

  4. I've probably already told you this, but you can do it!!!! It was just as awful getting Christopher to give his up, so I totally 100% know what you are going through! I may not have had 2 kids doing it at the same time, but you must remember Sophie as a baby and we are now the same. (She screamed her head off even when she DID had a pacie!) HANG IN THERE!!!!! I promise it will get easier and you will get through it. Even if it means increasing you wine intake for a little while.

For those of you out there who are dreading going through this task in the future, I highly suggest going through this process while the child is still in a crib and before they are 2 years old. MUCH easier b/c they can't get out and are too young to give up a nap. Wish I'd known that sooner.

I'll be praying extra hard for you this week Caroline!!! And for the boys.
